The Lord Jackal Cape Vintage Reserve fortified wine is made using Portuguese varieties from a small vineyard in the Kammanassie Mountain. This wine is made in a classical style and spent 20 months in a barrel before it was bottled. It is then kept in a bottle for another year before the wine is released.
Jakkalsvlei is situated at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain in the southern Cape which is 40km from the Indian Ocean. The farm produces roughly 300 000 liters annually from 50Ha of operating vineyards.
The exclusive Lord Jackal wine range is produced in limited quantities..

The wine has a dark ink-like colour with a fragrant nose of dark fruit, chocolate and violets. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with ripe dark fruit and dark chocolate notes backed by powerful tannins that will make this wine last for decades.
